Restylane®

The Restylane family of products includes Restylane, Restylane-L®, Perlane®, and Perlane-L®. These products can be used individually to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

Restylane is the first and only FDA-approved dermal filler for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years. And that's great news—because who doesn't want beautiful lips? After all, lips play a central role in our sensual and emotional life—think attractive, youthful, kissable. So it's only natural with all this focus on lips, that lipstick is one of the most-purchased cosmetics. It's also natural to want to enhance the appearance of our lips if we feel that their shape or proportions are not well matched to our unique facial structure. Plus, as we age, our lips may lose volume. And using makeup to hide these flaws often has limited results.
Beautiful lips that last long after your lipstick is gone

Restylane is one investment in beauty that you don't wash off your face every night—so lips look great 24/7 for up to six months. Restylane provides the fullness and definition you can't get with lipstick or other cosmetics. In fact, just one treatment gives you beautiful, natural-looking lips for as long as six months.

How does Restylane work?
Restylane adds volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane can also add fullness and definition to lips in patients over 21 years, providing natural-looking and lasting results with just one treatment. Restylane works immediately by adding volume to smooth away wrinkles. A clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, Restylane is specifically formulated to act like your body's own hyaluronic acid. So, you can use Restylane to visibly reduce moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, and to add fullness to your lips.

Biocompatible with the human body, Restylane is eventually broken down naturally.
Treatment volume should be limited to 6.0 mL in wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, and limited to 1.5 mL per lip (Restylane only), as greater amounts significantly increase moderate and severe injection site reactions. The safety or effectiveness of treatment in areas other than nasolabial folds and lips (Restylane only) has not been established in controlled clinical studies.

After treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, or tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 days in lips. Swelling may be more likely in patients under 36 years, and bruising may be more likely in patients over 35 years.
Restylane® injectable gel is the world's most studied wrinkle filler with more than a decade of use. Restylane has been used in more than 15 million treatments in more than 65 countries worldwide. *Products in the Restylane family have well-defined safety profiles and are approved for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).
