Vaginal Rejuvenation

As a female Palm Beach plastic surgery specialist, Dr. Dana sees many women who are unhappy with the way they look or feel sexually. After childbirth or due to aging, many women’s vaginal muscles can be stretched, torn, and ultimately lose tone leading to a change in sexual feeling for a woman and/or her partner.

These changes can all be undone with vaginal cosmetic surgery, and we have found that all of our vaginal cosmetic surgery patients have been exceedingly happy with their results. Our office performs more vaginal cosmetic surgery in Florida than any other cosmetic plastic surgeon in the area.

Vaginal Rejuvenation

 During cosmetic vagina surgery Dr. Dana tightens the muscles around the vagina to decrease the dimensions of the vagina and increase and/or restore sexual gratification. Sexual sensation is usually greatly increased for both partners. 

Vaginal rejuvenation or vaginal reconstructive tightening is performed under sedation or general anesthesia combined with local anesthesia. The procedure lasts 1-2 hours, and it can be combined with other vaginal rejuvenation procedures like labiaplasty or pubic (mons) lift. Most of our patients have discomfort for a few days to weeks after surgery.

Labiaplasty

Some our women are born with an enlarged labia minora (inner lips). Women also sometimes have a change in the appearance of their labia after childbirth, traumatic injury, or with aging. We often see patients who experience embarrassment and discomfort in tight clothing, with exercise, and with sexual intercourse.

Dr. Dana is one of few South Florida cosmetic surgeons that use labiaplasty surgery to reduce the size of the labia to alleviate discomfort and improve the appearance of the labia. This cosmetic vaginal surgery procedure can also be extended to the clitoral hood without a change to the nerves and with techniques designed to produce minimal scarring. In most cases, the scars cannot even be seen after several weeks. You will likely have swelling and discomfort for a few days to weeks after surgery.

Pubic Lift

Many of our patient’s also have an enlargement of the pubic area, causing a bulge in clothing.  This can be due to fatty deposits, which is improved with liposuction. Weight gain and aging can cause the pubic area to sag. A pubic lift can be performed to tighten the area. This is often combined with a tummy tuck.
